Elsewhere in the opening event, there were cashes for Sam Soverel (7th for $19,600), Cary Katz (6th for $29,400), Alex Foxen (4th for $53,900) and a runner-up result for Chris Brewer, who took home $134,293.
In the second event on December 4th, Sean Winter took the title and $179,200 as 64 entries – the biggest attendance of the series – arrived to play at The Wynn. He got the better of Jacob Daniels, who had finished third in the opening event, and went one better to close out a runner-up score of $128,000. He wasn’t the only big name who brought home the bacon, with Joseph Cheong (4th for $64,000), Matthew Wantman with his second cash from two events (5th for $51,200), and both Sam Soverel (9thfor $19,200) and Matas Cimbolas (10th for $19,200), who ground their way into the money.
It was on Saturday December 5th that the third and penultimate event took place, with 57 entries and $570,000 in the prizepool. Ray Qartomy won out for a top prize of $150,000 after he got the better of the ever-improving Matthew Wantman, who finished as runner-up for $135,000, his third consecutive cash in the three events.
